Moldy Oranges, Botanical Study By Deborah Griscom Passmore Size:16" x 24" The trees in the backgroundThis watercolor painting showcases two oranges affected by decay, likely due to mechanical injury. The artist meticulously depicts the texture and color variations of the fruit's skin, from the healthy orange hues to the mottled gray white mold spreading across the surface. The detail is remarkable, highlighting the scientific accuracy of the piece. Original title Citrus sinensis (1905) by Deborah Griscom Passmore (American, 18401911)
