Teardrop - Blue P08699-P00185 Built of solid wood construction

Built of solid wood construction using traditional mortise and tenon joinery

The collage comes unframed

bubbles and artist's traces add extra personality

where the front image continues around the edges so there is no need to frame

Teardrop - Blue P08699-P00185 Built of solid wood constructionTo create each stunning piece, the artist assembles dozens of small, precisely cut maple blocks into a rough shape, then turns it on a lathe to form an intriguing sculpture of great size and bold impact. The artist's signature use of negative space adds further interest and depth. The surface is dyed, then finished with a high gloss lacquer for a shimmering luminosity and depth of color rarely seen in wood. Signed by the artist Materials: Maple
