Early Morning Surprise P08415-P00235 on a black leather collarThis is an acrylic painting and fabric collage on gallery wrapped canvas with painted sides. The composition is first sketched onto the canvas in charcoal, then beautiful patterned fabrics are cut and glued onto the surface and acrylic paints are applied. With its slyly shifting perspective, this work depicts a woman who has come downstairs for breakfast only to discover that her cat has had kittens.
