- Kamakura Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gū (Tsurugaoka Shrine, Kamakura) - Snow scene Date: 1949The beautiful woodblock print "Kamakura Tsurugaoka Hachiman g" (Tsurugaoka Shrine, Kamakura) by Shiro Kasamatsu captures a serene autumn scene at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. At the side of the stone steps stands the sacred Great Ginkgo tree, whose majestic presence graced the shrine grounds until it tragically fell in 2010. The work depicts the trees brilliant yellow foliagea spectacle no longer visible in person. Though it has since been replaced
