Viktor Kalvachev reserved I was delighted to find

I was delighted to find these two portraits tucked away in a country saleroom during the first lockdown for something of a steal

He also got to spend much of his time in the beauty of the countryside he so adored

"Duncan is an astounding draughtsman and paints beautifully

We will arrange delivery of the painting as soon as possible once the framing has been completed

I remember telling him that

Viktor Kalvachev reserved I was delighted to find"I met Viktor through a friend at a comic convention in Paris and a bunch of us went over to his place for dinner. That night he was very complimentary about my painting and coming from him, an extraordinary talent, it sent me into an existential tailspin. He taught me the important lesson, that to praise another artists work never diminishes your own."
