The diamond shape is a pattern that has been used on costumes since the Heian period
手描きのようにも見えますが、型を使用して染めている抽象的で珍しい柄です。
兜は武具であり身を守る道具であることから、兜文は男性や男児の長襦袢や羽裏の柄として近世以降に使用されるようになりました。
菊文様は皇族や武家が使用していた紋であったことから「高尚」の意味を持つ吉祥紋様です。
