His best friend Doris can be posed separately, beside or in front, as you will. Im thinking maybe Ernest is looking out to sea taking his eyes slightly out of focus. Doris with her windswept ears is focusing more keenly on what she might have for dinner. Together theyre taking comfort in their silent contemplation.
