I have to confess I’m not the greatest fan of Professor Adams’ work

Please note: due to the fragile nature of these ceramics

Billie Holliday and Sarah Vaughan -  were at the height of their fame

Both paintings portray Claire Stafford and therein lies a story

We’ve had works from this period before in the retrospectives held after Gordon’s death but they are a rare find and it is a pleasure to see one of this quality in the gallery again
