Mid-18th Century painted tall case clock from Northern Italy Venetian Rococo shelves to the interiorA rare and whimsically painted tall case clock from Northern Italy, dating to the mid 18th century. Retaining its original polychrome surface, the case features Rococo floral and figural vignettes framed by soft green and rose borders. The arched bonnet is crowned by a pierced crest, while the face bears Roman numerals and delicate scrollwork. An expressive and decorative piece that speaks to the charm of provincial Italian craftsmanship. Height 89 1
