This is where I got the title from - I mentioned the snake when I first posted the painting on social media and a yoga teacher friend commented ‘Kundalini Rising’ and I laughed and thought - yes
the beautifully rendered feline clutch of fur collar against the Swedish winter or that hypnotic gaze
His use of gouache was an epiphany moment for me
The sitter is Ernest Thesiger CBE (1879-1961)
