Thunder Pienza Neutral Although not from his WPA

SKU 77070916467

Description

Although not from his WPA period this is a relatively early work and its appeal and ultimately its value is derived entirely from the subject

I’ve bought every Trotin I’ve ever seen at auction in the last ten years

I painted this one with a big smile on my face

Even without a comical figure to point us to a punchline this little study of industrial buildings still manages to exude his humour

Purchased from the lovely Kay Michie in 1994
