The Commonwealth of Nations, or the British Empire - World/Oceans Includes many explorers routes (Fremont)Issued for the coronations of King George VI, this is the British Empire at its proud apex. Perhaps the most ornate map we've had for the empire, it's surrounded with a golden decorative cartouche and two quotes espousing the Empire's invincibility and power of endurance. With British possessions highlighted in red throughout the world, it's a dramatic map and a quaint momento of the British era. Condition is very good. Image size is 15. 5 x 22
